\"\"Windows Vista\/7\/8\/8.1\/+<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Windows Server 2008 (R2)\/2012 (R2)\/+<\/strong> have already enabled complex script support by default. You do not need to proceed with the following steps.<\/span><\/p>\n

Windows XP\/Server 2003 (R2)<\/strong>\u00a0come with complex script support but this support is not enabled\u00a0by default and usually needs to be enabled manually except that the language of your Windows version or the default language of your Windows is a complex script.\u00a0Please follow the steps below. (It’s strongly recommended to upgrade your operating system.<\/span>)<\/span><\/p>\n

The following steps are for Windows XP\/Server 2003 (R2) only!<\/strong><\/p>\n

You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group in order to complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may also prevent you from completing this procedure.<\/em><\/p>\n

1. Click Start<\/strong>, click Control Panel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

a) If you are using Category View<\/strong> in Control Panel, click Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options<\/strong>, and then click Regional and Language Options<\/strong>.
\nb) If you are using Classic View<\/strong> in Control Panel, click Regional and Language Options<\/strong> directly.<\/p>\n

2. On the Languages<\/strong> tab, under Supplemental language support<\/strong>, select the Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages<\/strong> check box.<\/p>\n

3. Click OK<\/strong> or Apply<\/strong>.[sc:as-big-square-fr]<\/p>\n

4. At this point you may be asked to insert a Windows CD so that Windows can copy the necessary files to your system.<\/p>\n

This Windows CD does not have to be the original CD which came with your computer, or the CD from which you originally installed Windows, but it must be for the same version of the installed Windows.<\/em><\/p>\n

If you cannot find a proper CD, please try the following file (for 32-bit Windows XP only<\/span>). Extract the file and you will get folder Complex. When you are prompt to insert a Windows CD, point to folder Complex\/XP.<\/em><\/p>\n

5. It may take a minute or two for Windows to copy the necessary files. After the files are installed, you must restart your computer.<\/p>\n

6. It is recommended to install the latest Windows service pack.\u00a0Windows updates are distributed in service packs. Service packs help keep Windows current, and extend and update the functionality of your computer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
