Configure Applications

Microsoft Office

office-logoOffice 2007/2010/2013 support complex scripts pretty well. But we must configure Office 2007.

1. Click Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft Office -> Microsoft Office Tools -> Microsoft Office 2007 Language Settings.

2. Find the language in the left pane (Available editing languages) and then click Add in the middle, it will be added to the right pane (Enable editing languages).

Mongolian (Traditional Mongolian, PRC): Traditional Mongolian, Todo, Manchu, Sibe, Daur, Old Manchu

Tibetan (PRC): Tibetan, Dzongkha

3. Click OK.


OpenOffice/LibreOffice

1. Open Writer.

2. Click Tools -> Options. Expand Language Settings. Click Languages.

3. Under Enhanced language support, check Enable for complex text layout (CTL).

4. You can set CTL (under Default languages for documents) as Tibetan or Dzongkha.
